Top 5 Things to do in Rockport

Top 5 things to do in Rockport

1) Go fishing! Rockport is an awesome fishing area with tons of great fishing spots. A few of our favorites are:

🐟 Aransas Bay, located at the northern end of Texas Central Bend, is full of oyster reefs that make this an ideal fishing spot. This spot is often wade fished for speckled trout.

🐟 Redfish Bay, between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas, this cluster of channels and grass flats is thriving with fish. Boats are aloud to pass through as long as they don’t disrupt the ecosystem.

🐟 Estes Flats had deep water and shallow water access. The shallow water is the perfect spot for redfish and trout because of its shallow grass beds and sand pot holes. This is also a great place for kayaking.

🐟 St. Charles Bay, located at the northernmost end of Texas Coastal Bend, is a prime redfish spot. Small boats and kayaks can launch at Cavassos’s Creek and larger boats can launch from Lamar and Pelican Island State Park.

🐟 Copano Bay, where many of our houses are located on, is filled with reefs and estuaries that are popular for redfish and trout. This is an easy spot to access from private fishing piers at our rent houses.
