One of our favorite events in Rockport is the Annual Festival of Wine and Food! Join us on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 for an awesome weekend of entertainment. Since 1997, this festival has been the biggest fundraiser for the Texas Maritime Museum. There will be over 2,500 vendors including wine tasting, food, live bands, shopping, and beer!
There will be 100 different types of wine for you to taste with ranging prices that you can buy by the taste, half glass, and glass. Complete wine and beer lists will be posted at http://texasfestivalofwines.com in May. Live music will include the Scott Taylor Band and The Honeysuckle Roses on Saturday, and The Raven Cliff Band, The Mojo Faction, and Another Level on Sunday.
Cooking demonstrations will be happening throughout the weekend to show you the best wines to pair with different types of food. Specialty chefs will be hosting these demonstrations and will answer all your cooking questions. On Saturday at 3 P.M. is Chef Billy Joe Willson, and at 5 P.M. is a wine demonstration. On Sunday there is a wine demonstration at 3 P.M. and then a Teflon Chef Competition between Chef Billy Joe Wilson of Eats in Port Aransas and Daniel Torres of Face2Face Gourmet at 5 P.M.
Wine Fest is happening on Memorial Weekend, and with limited houses places will fill up fast! One of our featured homes is 15 Belle, a beautiful Copano bayfront home with a private fishing pier.
